Balance “long” was made for archers who like the ancient form. It has a comfortable, easy to pull, durable structure. Its shape has been well-proven for many years, it is stable and it does not twist. Its speed lags only slightly behind faster bows, despite its relatively large siyahs(szarv). In terms of shape, it may be most similar to the “original Hungarian” bow. Like all bows, it has the property that when the angular position of the string and siyah reaches an angle of about 90 degrees, a sudden increase in spinning force occurs, which in archery jargon is just called “wall,” walling. This is not a limitation of the material of the bow body, but simply due to its structure.
Its length, speed and brace height make it a very tolerant bow, which is why I recommend it with a good heart to beginners, but also to competitors in the historical category, because it reduces the errors caused by racing pressure.
